Meeting Baby Emily

Mom, Ivy, Grandma (GG) and I went to Greenwood last week to meet my cousin Matthew's new baby girl - Emily Madison Thigpen. She was so precious and it was good to spend time with some of my family I hardly ever get to see. We really had a good time!

Ivy loves Aunt Myrtice and Uncle Junior. She was even calling Uncle Junior Paw Paw. She was cute trying to read him her book. Aunt Myrtice had and old smurf doll and snoopy doll which Ivy loved (we all know snoopy is one of her favorite things)! Ivy had taken some of her "Little People" with her from her farm and Aunt Myrtice had a toy tractor that Ivy had a blast with. She would sit farmer Jed on the seat and load up all the animals in the back.

Ivy didn't quite know what to make of baby Emily! She loved taking her paci out of her mouth and then attempting to shove it back in. Luckily Emily didn't mind to much. She slept almost the entire time. Ivy has her own baby dolls at home and likes to sit in the baby doll bed with them and she didn't quite understand why she couldn't sit in Emily's car seat with her.

We also got to visit w/ both Shelia's and Sharon for a while. One of the Shelia's (Matthew's Mom) caused a problem in the bathroom but I'll spare the story. Lets just say Aunt Myrtice spent some time fixing it and Ivy helped. :) The other Shelia brought her dogs Max and Jack and this of course made Ivy's day. She loved Jack and tried to walk him all around the house.

I tried to get some good pictures of Ivy with Aunt Myrtice and Uncle Junior but she didn't want to sit in Aunt Myrtice's lap, she wanted Aunt Myrtice to sit in Ivy's lap. Also, she would lean on Uncle Juniors legs and talk to him but when she saw the camera coming she would quickly run away. I guess she didn't want proof that she was a sweet girl.
