Disney World,
Family,
Vacation
Back to the Magic Kingdom we went. We had reservations at 11:00 to have lunch inside of Cinderella's castle with the Princess's. Ivy was beyond excited! So the plan was to get in the park when it opened ride a few rides, grab some fast passes for something, eat lunch with the Princess's and the rest of the afternoon was free to do whatever our hearts desired.
Didn't happen that way.
We walked into the park and headed towards some rides when Ivy decided she should jump out of her stroller and run to Pinocchio. So we stood in line for Pinocchio and she was very happy.

So...minor set back, no big deal. Then she saw Pluto. PLUTO!PLUTO!PLUTO! So we stood in a much longer line for Pluto and she was very happy.

Then I purposely made sure that she couldn't see Daisy Duck standing directly to Pluto's right because that line was REALLY long. We headed back to the rides and all the lines were CRAZY. Ugh. Then we noticed the Evil Stepmother and Stepsisters from Cinderella. I would like to put on record that if I ever work at Disney that I want to be one of those characters...they were having SO much fun and they were hysterical to watch! I suggested that we go stand in line to see them because it was fairly short. Ivy wanted absolutely nothing to do with them....she was having plenty of fun playing in Cinderella's fountain.

Me: Hey Ives, wanna go see the stepsisters?
Ivy: Um no, I don't like them because they are mean to Cinderella and they tore her dress up and broke her necklace.
Me: Ok, are you sure? Because they look really funny, I don't think they are being mean.
Ivy: Ok, WHATEVER YOU WANT!
Me: (Wow, she's definitely my daughter) I'll go with you Ivy if you want.
Ivy: (Rolls eyes)

So we are standing in line to meet them when a Disney worker comes up to us and says "Just so you know the stepsisters are about to leave but the Fairy Godmother is coming out." Ivy was suddenly very happy!

The Fairy Godmother was just as funny as the stepsisters! Then we hurried off and rode It's a Small World, watched Mickey's PhilharMagic 4-D show, and rode Peter Pan. Peter Pan was my favorite as a kid and I think it still is now.
Then it was off to the Castle for lunch with the Princesses. We were all really excited for this and Ivy wanted to change into her Cinderella dress for the occasion. I've been to Disney world many times but I've never been inside the castle so I was really anxious to see it!

As soon as they took us in Ivy got to have a meet and greet with Cinderella. She got to sit and talk with her for a few minutes and they took some pictures for Ivy to keep. We didn't take pictures because it was really dark and Chris didn't have his flash, plus we had to pay for the others. Then they took us up this really neat spiral staircase to the dining room. The dining room was beautiful!

Ivy was given her own magic wand and wishing star and she had lots of fun using them during the songs they were playing.

Ivy wouldn't hardly eat because she was so anxious for the the Princesses to stop at our table. They would get announced and then come in and go to the complete opposite side of the dining room to start their journey around the tables. Ivy was mesmerized.

You can ask Ivy any day of the week who her favorite princess is and she will say Cinderella ninety percent of the time. The other ten percent she will say Ariel. But whenever she sees Belle she looks at her like she is the most beautiful person in the world and she often pretends to be Belle at home. The first time we took Ivy to Disney Belle walked right up to her and Ivy was star struck....I didn't think that anyone could be a better Belle than that lady, but the Belle that was at the Princess lunch was just as amazing.

Snow White was perfectly adorable too.

Ariel was the very last one to come around and she almost missed us which would have caused Ivy to fall over and die....but luckily Ivy has a loud mouth Mama that got her to come back.

After all the Princesses had come by our table Ivy was uninterested in finishing her lunch but she did really enjoy her dessert.

When we left the castle Ivy requested to change into to her Rapunzel dress and then go see Mickey's PhilharMagic again. Then she wanted to ride Winnie the Pooh and play in front of his house. And the pictures that Chris took in front of Pooh's house are some of my favorite from the trip.

Then Ivy said she was tired and wanted to go back the hotel to rest. She really just wanted to ride the bus again. The next time we go on vacation I should just book two different hotel rooms and let her ride a bus between the two of them, because honestly I think that may have been her favorite part. So we spent the rest of the afternoon in our hotel room or at the pool. I didn't think it was warm enough for the pool but it could have been thirty degrees outside and Ivy still would have gone swimming. I was having nothing to do with the pool so Chris had to get in with her.
Next up....Epcot!
