Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Hancock

Ok, Ok. I know I said I would post these pictures before 2012, but.....well I'm just going to blame it on Jeanna. That's right I'm totally blaming someone else for the tardiness of this post.

You see after all it was her wedding and I thought it would be unfair if I shared her wedding pictures before she did. :)

I'm just going to post some of my favorite pictures instead of trying to write about the day.  Most of the day I was busy running around doing stuff but in the midst of all the craziness sometimes I would just stop and think to myself "Holy Crap!  My baby brother is about to get married!"

Here are a few of my favorites...

This is when my brother put me on the spot.  I was not prepared to give a toast AT ALL!!!!  I knew that Allie (maid of honor) and Nick (best man) were giving toasts and I didn't think anything else of it.  Then my Dad grabbed the mic (typical) and gave one that was really sweet. And then....then he walked over to me and put the mic in my hand.  I don't do speeches - EVER!  I said "Holy......." and I passed the mic to someone else.  And then my brother looked at me and "YOU BETTER SAY SOMETHING."  I nearly died - yep nearly had a heart attack on my brothers wedding day.  I'm looking at YOU CLIFFORD!  You almost caused me to die ON YOUR WEDDING DAY!

I made it through a very tear filled speech that included something along the lines of "Hey we've always been there for each other and always will and I love you and Jeanna and blah blah blah blah.  It was a typical cheesy wedding toast.  Now had I known this was coming I would have said something a little more like this......

Clifford, we've been through a lot together and no one could ever replace the bond that we have.  You know that I'm always here for you no matter what.  You are an amazing young man and brother and I know you will be an amazing husband too.  You are lucky to have found someone that is so kind and caring.  Make sure you take care of her.  Ok, now can I get everyone in here to look at Jeanna please.  Please notice how amazingly beautiful she is.  I'm here to tell you that she is even more beautiful on the inside.  You stayed by his side through the deployment and never wavered.  Thank you for being so wonderful and loyal and for putting up with the mess that I was during the deployment.  You are his rock.  I love you both and I can't wait to see what your future together holds.

Ok, Ok.  So that was MORE than a few!

You can read all about Clifford and Jeanna's wedding day and see all of the pictures through the following links -

I had a friend that did something similar to this at her reception and Chris mentioned it literally ten minutes before we had to walk out the door.  So I ran around like a mad woman grabbing all sorts of stuff to throw in a box.  I couldn't narrow these pictures down anymore!  It was hit with all the wedding guests and Clifford and Jeanna loved it!

I loves it! And your speech was perfect the way it was... but I do love your thought out one, as well! :)

Go ahead, show me some love....leave me a comment or thought.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
