I got to see Brandi Carlile....

...and it was quite epic.

Tickets went on sale back in August and I called Chris and said "Hey, tickets for Brandi Carlile go on sale today, do you care if I buy them?  It's on a Saturday!!!!"  Which basically meant - I'm buying these tickets and you are going so embrace it!

We use to go to so many concerts before having a kid.  It's something we still do and enjoy but our priorities have changed a bit.  Like....it must be someone we REALLY like and more than likely it needs to be on the weekend because we aren't getting any younger.

You guys....if you don't know who Brandi Carlile is then you should.  I've been listening to her since 2005 and her voice is AMAZING.  I didn't think there was anyway that her voice could still sound so amazing live but she truly has a gift.  I was blown away and Chris was too!

Here are some links to to a few songs from that night but they are recorded on phones and cameras so it doesn't do her justice.

Follow - She opened with this and it made me cry.  Seriously, I really cried.
Dreams - This is a great song and I think her love for Elvis show through in this one a little bit.
Throw It All Away - This is the very first song I ever heard her sing and I was instantly hooked.
What Can I Say - This was amazing because she was completely unplugged and she rocked it out.
Downpour - I think this really pretty and she told a story about it on stage that made me really appreciate it.

The guy next to us, Tim, was really cool and he snapped some pictures and emailed them to us.

Go ahead, show me some love....leave me a comment or thought.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
