Friday Flashback....Ravioli face paint

So these pictures crack me up!  They were taken almost a year and a half ago and they are some of my favorites.  I remember the day well, April 4th 2009.  It was a rather cool day here in Augusta for early April and Chris and I had gone with my Mom to Walmart to get new cell phones and renew our contract with Verizon.  Yep, Walmart because they had the phone I wanted for $100 cheaper than the Verizon store...I take what I can get.  Then we went to Publix for our regular grocery shopping.  I remember it being a crazy day at the grocery store, we bought a lot of food because we had let our pantry get really low.  When we got home Ivy was hungry so I sat her at the table and warmed her up some Chef Boyardee Ravioli because it's quick, easy, and to her it's extra yummy.

Now Ivy was just learning to feed herself with a fork and was doing pretty good for the most part.  So I heated up about 5 or 6 pieces and cut them up really small and put it in front of her with her sippy cup of milk.  I went about putting up the groceries while Chris did some yard work.  And I know this will win me "mother of the year" but I really wasn't paying very much attention to Ivy.  I didn't hear any coughing or choking sounds so I just kept putting up the groceries then stuck my head out the back door to yell at Chris to see what he wanted for lunch.  I then walked back in the kitchen and looked at Ivy.  I instantly fell into hysterical laughter which sent her into a fit of laughter and I literally crawled to the back door and yelled for Chris to come inside and get his camera and to do it quick.  This was the result....

What you can't see in the pictures is that she actually has it all the way up to the top of her head. After we regained control of ourselves and quit laughing and crying...she went straight into the bathtub. Ahhh, first time Mom memories, they're the best!

Happy Friday!

Go ahead, show me some love....leave me a comment or thought.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
