Friday Flashback....Ivy's first beach trip

...a few hours early but I'm not sure if I'll get to post tomorrow or not since we will be traveling.

Dear Earl,

I really do want to thank you for passing on by Georgia.  It is much appreciated because my toes need to be in the sand for the sake of my sanity.

Much Love,
Marti

Now that I have that out of the way on to the Friday Flashback...

When Ivy was just 11 months old we took her on her first beach trip. It was our first family vacation as a 3 piece. We had a blast! I couldn't pick just one picture for this post because I love them all so much! I could barely narrow it down to seven but if I have to pick the favorites of my favorites this is them.

Ivy loved everything about the beach...the sand, the wind, the water. Of course the sand made her very curious and she loved it when the waves started washing up on her legs. She would have crawled right out to sea if I would have let her...she had absolutely no fear of that water. She didn't even mind it when it splashed in her face a little and she thought that the sand was delicious! We are headed down to Tybee Island this weekend and Ivy is sooooo excited. I just asked her a few minutes ago if she was ready for the beach and she exclaimed "YES I AM!!!!" This will only be our second trip to the beach since she was born and I can't wait to see how she reacts to it. I'm sure I'll have lots of beautiful pictures to post when I get back.

I hope everyone has a safe and fabulous Labor Day weekend because in just a few hours we will be on "Tybee Time!"

Happy Friday!

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
