Friday Flashback....the fam 2009

It's always quite a task for us to get a good Christmas picture taken since my husband is the photographer.  After having Ivy and I maneuver around from several different spots to find the perfect place and then setting up the tripod and then setting the camera timer....well things get a little hectic.  You see the timer takes ten seconds and it's hard to get Ivy to keep looking at the camera with a smile on her face for ten seconds and then when you try and add the dog in too.....well that makes for a grumpy group of people.  I get frustrated at the dog and then give up...then Ivy won't sit still and I get frustrated with her....and then Chris gets frustrated with me, etc.  I remember last year when we finally got the three of us situated (I might add that I was REALLY sick at the time and it was about 30 degrees outside) the shutter was just about to click and Pollack decided to run across the yard in between us and the camera....REALLY POLLACK!!!!

Needless to say...it's always a chore that takes way longer than it should.

Here's the finished product from last year...

And this one just cracks me up....Chris wanted a good picture of him and Ivy together.  We had already been outside for at least 30 minutes in the freezing cold.  I was sick and irritable and my hands were so cold and stiff I could barely hold the camera up.  Oh, and when I went to click the shutter the stupid timer was still on so I had to stand there and attempt to not move for 10 seconds.  But I just love how they have the same grumpy look on their faces......

Go ahead, show me some love....leave me a comment or thought.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
