Ivy-isms: The Best

Something new I'm going to try on the blog is writing down some of the conversations that I have with Ivy.  I really do need to start writing them down somewhere because I don't ever want to forget them.  There are times when I can't believe that I can have a full blown conversation with my daughter and there are other times when she says something so funny or crazy that I wonder what I gave birth too.

But this made my day when she said this Monday night as I was stirring a pot of chicken and dumplings.  Ivy was sitting at the dinner table with Chris.

Ivy:  Hey Daddy...You know who DA BEST Mommy is?
Chris:  Ummmm....Who?
Ivy: My Mommy!
Chris: That's sweet Ivy
Me: (Smiling from ear to ear)
Ivy:  And you know who DA BEST Daddy is?
Chris: I don't know Ivy...who?
Ivy:  You are silly!
Me:  Hey Ivy...you know who THE BEST daughter in the whole world is?
Ivy:  (With her eyes big, a crooked little grin, and a sarcastic tilt to her head) ME!!!  I KNOW DAT MOMMY!!!!
