Three-Oohhhh

30 is the new 20....right????  I doubt it.  I had a good birthday although it is really hard for me to say...I'm 30.  Seriously it's strange!  I mean really....30!  I'm embracing it the best I can.

We had a small, last minute cookout at our house to celebrate and a few of my friends came over.  Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and all the fixin's.  And of course....Margarita's.  If there's a party celebrating me there has to be Margaritas....or as one of my friends recently renamed them....Marti-ritas (thanks Allie).

Last year I made a list of 29 things that I was lovin' at the time of my birthday so I decided to do it again this year.

30 random things I'm LOVIN' right now, in no particular order...

 1.   Watching my husband build furniture...it's sexy
 2.   My brother is home an sleeping in his own bed
 3.   We booked a vacation to Disney World
 4.   When Ivy tells me I'm "The Greatest"
 5.   Hot green tea with a spoonful of honey on my drive to work in the morning
 6.   Not having to take ANY medications in the morning
 7.   Feeling healthy for the first time in a long time
 8.   Watching Ivy pretending to be a ballerina
 9.   Tending to my mini garden
10.  Lavender Oil
11.  Dig this Chick
12.  Foster the People
13.  Lemon Oil in my water
14.  The smell of freshly cut wood in our garage
15.  When Ivy requests "Shiny Happy People" by REM
16.  Netflix
17.  Strawberry ice cream (either from Kilwin's or Blue Bunny brand)
18.  Painting with Ivy
19.  Going barefoot in the grass (drives my husband crazy though)
20.  Listening to Ivy tell stories at the dinner table
21.  Mad Men
22.  When Ivy requests to hear "her music" in the car - which means Elton John, loud and now!
23.  Listening to Ivy sing every single lyric to "Tiny Dancer"
24.  Margaritas (duh!)
25.  Wearing Kino Flip Flops
26.  Peanut Butter Pie made by my Mama
27.  Date nights at TakoSushi
28.  Watching Ivy TEAR UP some Mellow Mushroom pizza (it really is something to behold)
29.  Dangly Earrings
30. Making Mickey Mouse pancakes with Ivy

............

And I did actually make my list on my birthday (two months ago) but we have been very, very busy building a huge piece of furniture for our office and that has consumed every last second of our free time...I was trying to wait for the pictures but my husband has yet to remove them from his memory card.  I should learn how to do that....but fancy camera + fancy computer + editing programs + ME would probably = trouble.

Go ahead, show me some love....leave me a comment or thought.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
