Christmastime with the Wards

So things have been fun this season getting ready for Christmas. Ivy loves the Christmas tree and all the ornaments on it. She points different ones out and tells us all about them (Her favorite one seems to be the Tarheel ornament, which I know makes all the Wards happy). She also knows which presents are hers because they are wrapped in Frosty the Snowman wrapping paper....She is always saying "dis one Ivy's", "dis one Ivy's", "dis one Mommy's", etc.....

She has also learned how to say Santa Claus! This really excites me! Every time we drive by a house with one of the big blow up things she screams.....SANTA CLAUS!!!!! So I've started showing her pictures of herself with Santa the past two years so that hopefully she won't be terrified again this year. We have even been practicing what she is suppose to say to Santa..."Ivy wants a baby doll, car, etc."

We are having lots of fun watching "Charlie Brown's Christmas" and "Frosty the Snowman" everyday (yes I do mean everyday). She even repeats some of things that they say and she will mock Snoopy's every move, it really cracks us up! Every now and then she will slip in "Merry Madagascar". :)

We are headed to North Carolina this afternoon so pray for safe travels!

Here are some of our Christmas pictures from this year...enjoy!

Go ahead, show me some love....leave me a comment or thought.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
