My Baby Brother...

...is ENGAGED! I can't hardly believe it! So when I met Jeanna I was impressed...very kind, good manners, beautiful inside and out. So a couple of months ago I was at my Mom's and Clifford asks me to come back to his room because he wanted to show me something. As we walk back there I can tell he's nervous (which means he has something to tell me). He pulls out this little box and my heart starts racing...he opens it and inside is a beautiful diamond ring. I looked at him and said "Are you sure?" He said "Yep...do you approve?" To which I responded "Absolutely!" I think he was in shock...I never approve!!! Afterall he is my baby brother I gotta look out for him!

So I know about this two months in advance...I'm good at keeping secrets but this one is hard. So he calls me a couple of weeks ago and says "December 12th is the day" He then tells me his big long plan which sounds more complicated than it really is....They met on December 12th at the Pizza Joint downtown. They didn't start dating for a few more months but it's still a special place for them!

So the whole family (and I do mean the WHOLE FAMILY) go down to the Pizza Joint and meet with Jeanna's family for a supposed birthday dinner for Clifford (and Mama Hancock's - our Dad's Mom and Stephanie's birthday - Jeanna's Mom). We all eat our pizza and have a good time! We all walk out...my brother looks calm but I know he's sweating bullets! We all wait outside and when they walk out he looks at her and says something about this being a big scam...she's confused...he drops to one knee and she's in shock...I instantly start crying like a baby!

I'm so happy for both of them! Congrats Cliff and Jeanna!

Go ahead, show me some love....leave me a comment or thought.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
