A Harvest-y Party

Ivy's school has a Harvest Party every year in October.  I have signed up to plan this party both years that Ivy has been there.  Why? you might ask...because I lose my mind and think I can cram it into October along with the other million things that I have to do.  But I make it happen.  I have another parent that helps but with kids and jobs it's hard to coordinate a time to meet and plan.  We did manage to get together and meet...the night before the party.  Luckily, Open Door, doesn't expect anything fancy.  The kids (and parents) had a blast!  We had a snack, decorated some pumpkins, played pin the tale on the cat and read The Monster At the End of This Book.

One of the parents brought some glasses for the kids that were the highlight of the party!  The kids put them on and then all of the adults could not quit laughing!  Which of course sent the kids into a hysterically fit of laughter!

Brigid would not let me take a picture of her with the glasses on.

Yuvi wanted NOTHING to do with the glasses!

My sweet girl LOVED the glasses!

Go ahead, show me some love....leave me a comment or thought.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
