Ivy-isms: Fall down kid

I recently took a nasty fall down the steps at home.  I know most of you are thinking "ha...so whats new?"  Well this one was little worse than normal and now it's several days later and I'm still very sore.  I couldn't drive for a couple of days so I had to be chauffeured around by my Mom.  I thought I could surely get away with laying in the bed watching a movie with Ivy one day after leaving work early.  I was wrong.

Me:  Hey Ivy you want to watch a movie with me?
Ivy:  No, I want to do crafts.
Me:  Are you sure because I would really like to lay down?
Ivy:  Can you just color and glue with me please?
Me:  OK, sure.

About an hour passes.....

Me:  Hey Ivy do you want to go watch a movie now?
Ivy:  No, I just want to do crafts.
Me:  Well sitting on this floor is really making my neck and back hurt worse because it's hard.
Ivy:  I think it's soft and I'm fine.
Me:  Well Ivy your neck and back aren't hurt.
Ivy:  Well that's because I'm not a fall down kid.
Me:   .....................
Ivy:  I'm just tricking with you Mommy!

Yes she really did say "tricking with you" she always says that instead of "joking with you" or "messing with you" and how is it possible that my 4 year old is already poking fun at me?

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
