The other Wards

We had a nice visit a couple of weeks ago from Chris's family. Arville, Zach and Kristin came down for the weekend and we had a great time.  We usually just hang out and spend time together.  Zach might be the funniest person I have ever met (other than my husband).  We always venture out to a Mexican restaurant at least once during their visits and golf is usually involved at some point.  It was suppose to rain all weekend but we ended up having the most beautiful weather.  The only bad thing was that it was the middle of pollen season so everything was yellow.

I won't bore you with the details of our entire weekend because nothing overly exciting happened.  We spent lots of time down by Savannah Rapids and an afternoon at driving range.  It was really nice just to spend time with them and not have an agenda.

We told Ivy that Paw, Uncle Zach and Aunt Kristin were coming to visit the day before they showed up and her head nearly exploded.  She has so much fun with them.

I think Kristin heard her name called by Ivy AT LEAST 8,455 times.  She was basically Ivy's slave.  She probably played more Candyland, dressed more princesses and did more coloring in 48 hours than she has done her whole entire life.

Kristin and I were also the guinea pigs for some of Ivy's new jokes.  Most of them made no sense at all and then she busted out with this one...

Ivy:  Why do cows wear bells?
Me/Kristin:  I don't know, why?
Ivy:  Because their horns don't work!
Me/Kristin:  That was actually a really good one Ivy.

We were sad when they left but all good things must come to an end.  We have a full week visit to Boone planned at the end of May.  Ivy may drive me crazy before then asking "Mommy is it May yet?".

Go ahead, show me some love....leave me a comment or thought.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
