Ivy-isms: Stay home with me

I'm getting ready for work, rushing of course and I hear Ivy come down the hallway after she wakes up.  I can also say that I have NEVER called in to work and said I was sick if I wasn't really sick, but sometimes it's hard not too...

Me:  Good morning Ivy!
Ivy:  Where's Daddy? (this is ALWAYS the first thing she says to me EVERY single morning)
Me:  He's at work.
Ivy:  Why?
Me:  Because when people are grown ups they have to go to work to make money and pay for things.
Ivy:  What are you doing?
Me:  I'm getting ready for work.
Ivy:  Why?
Me:  Because I'm a grown up and I have to make money so we can do fun stuff.
Ivy:  Like go to Disney World?
Me:  Exactly.
Ivy:  I HAVE A REALLY BIG IDEA!
Me:  I bet it's a great one! What is it?
Ivy:  You can stay home with me today and not make any money!
Me:  Come give me a hug Ivy, I love you.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
