May Happenings

Bath time Picasso

So my Mom gave Ivy some bathtub finger paints in her Easter basket and I haven't really had the chance to let her use them no to mention Chris's hates anything messy but I finally got brave enough to get them out for her the other day. Needless to say she LOVED IT!

We even got Daddy to get in on the action too. :)
She was a little unsure at first....

...but she eventually got into it.

Pretty Flowers

It's HOT down here! And what's better than running through a sprinkler on a hot summer day. I got Ivy in her swimsuit and we went and invited our neighbors 2 year old little girl Mia to run through the sprinkler too. She didn't like it as much as Ivy but they had fun. When I went out to set up the sprinkler Chris and his Mom were planting some Marigolds since our Petunia's didn't work out. Ivy got distracted that she wanted to help and "Maw" snapped a couple of pictures.

Paw's Visit

...my daughter is country! She calls my Dad "Paw Paw", Chris's Mom "Maw", and Chris's Dad "Paw". She calls my Mom Grammie which is probably the only one that doesn't make her sound like she should be in an episode of Little House on the Prarie. With that being said, my father-in-law Arville, a.k.a. Paw came down for a visit in May. We don't see Arville very much so I'm always suprised by how she gets so excited to see him. She wanted to show him everything...she gave him a tour of the house and even shared her M&M's with him after she went potty. The weekend was fun and relaxing and we wish he could have stayed longer but life happens and people have to go home and go to work but of course we got a few pictures and of course Ivy melts her Paw's heart.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. It started out as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on the happenings in the Ward house while Chris and I raise our daughter Ivy, but it's turned into a little more than that for me. So sit back and enjoy because I'll be sharing all kinds of moments and memories from our life and keeping people as updated as I can on my brother Clifford, while he is deployed to Afghanistan.
While my stories may not always be happy, funny, or inspirational they are real. And it's pretty good therapy for me to write how I feel about things. So please excuse all my typos and run on sentences because I usually type like I talk and I don't stress too much over my grammatical errors. I hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading...oh, and leave me a comment, it makes my day!
